Your adventure begins in Pelagonija region of Macedonia in the small village of Dihovo, nested in the foothill of Baba Mountain. Dihovo is the Mecca for tourists, bikers and nature enthusiasts. Here you will learn about local wild fruits, mushrooms and tea herbs which the nature in this region shares with the locals in abundance for many generations. You will be fascinated by what the nature here has to offer.
Your hike thru the nature will be organized by a professional mountain leader, who not only will lead you along the trails thru untouched nature but as well thru the history of the oldest Macedonia National park – Pelister.  This way you will have complete experience, enriched with knowledge that you have discovered something truly beautiful and historic. Villa Dihovo’s natural environment and beautiful surroundings provides the perfect relaxing atmosphere for you to completely enjoy while tasting homemade wine and beer accompanied with diverse tasty appetizers.

Day one of your beautiful adventure is reserved for the most beautiful restaurant in the world – the Nature. In a traditional kitchen you will attend culinary classes lead by a professional cook, specialized in traditional Macedonian food. Here you will master the art of one of the most unique pastry specialties – zelnik.

Zelnik is a traditional Balkan kitchen pastry, a tasty meal made out of homemade thin pastry layers as thin as paper sheets, filled with mixture of cheese, eggs, leek and spinach. In winter time, filling can be made of sour cabbage or pumpkin.

This traditional Macedonian pie is most delicious when served warm with a glass of yogurt or sour creamed milk. While your lunch is baking, you will have the opportunity to visit a local farm and witness and learn how milk and dairy products are produced on a traditional manner, after which degustation of Pelister cheese and sour milk cream follows.

For an additional appetite arousing, we will take you to a walk along the little village river Sapundjica, ending with a visit of the local honey producer. There, dressed in professional protection garment you will attend a one hour real practice tutorial how to be a natural honey producer, and of course, the degustation of the amazing Pelister natural desert – mountain honey, follows.

“The city of consuls” – Bitola and its famous Shirok Sokak street will be your cultural treat in the second part of the day.

Heraclea Lyncestis, the ancient Macedonian city build in IV century B.C by the Philip II the Macedonian, a real unique experience with all it has to offer as a witness of an ancient time and a civilization that shaped the modern world is a locality one must to visit. Your cultural mini tour continues to the next cultural destination – Bitola’s Museum (former military school) where you can witness Macedonian culture in all its historical stages along with the unique Mustafa Kemal Ataturk – the father of modern Turkey, memorial room.

As your cultural appetites are satisfied, dinner follows. Traditional Macedonian dinner will be served in a local restaurant accompanied with top quality wine and fresh appetizers. This experience will be enriched by a walk thru Shirok Sokak, a promenade offering a variety of shops, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, antiquities and galleries. Dynamics on Bitola’s most famous walk is always high and it is perfect for all generations, couples and families. A true relaxing treatment and inspirational walk accompanied by architecture full of history and culture.


We will start the second day of our alluring discovery with a visit of one of most magical cities on Balkans – Ohrid. Modern civilization has always considered Macedonia, and especially Ohrid, for a cradle of culture. It is said that Macedonian culture and literacy are born exactly in this lakeside city where in the past existed more than 300 churches and monasteries out of which 60 even today are still active. Today, Ohrid is a real oasis of culture, spirituality, tradition, tourism and modern living. It is a must-see destination for everybody wishing to experience Macedonia and its beauties.

Walking around old city by the Lake, the smell of Macedonian coffee mixed with the soft lake breeze caresses you gently. The soft smell of the cotton-candy mixed with the freshly backed peanuts strong aroma thru the small city streets will dance a breathtaking dance with your senses. The view to Kaneo and Plaoshnik will set a harmony which you will wish to experience once again. The most cherished gifts are beautiful memories, so you must “spoil” yourself with a souvenir of a beautiful unique jewel with the famous Ohrid pearl, produced with a 7 centuries traditional technique, while visiting the Ohrid pearl Museum. Sure you deserve it!

From the city center to the most peaceful surrounding of Monastery St. Naum, the quest for the divine continues along the coastline of the oldest lake in Europe, Ohrid Lake. At St. Naum, you will arrive by sailing on the waters which have kept the secrets of this part of the world for nearly 2 million years. The nature, culture and spirituality will fulfill you with peace.

Like most Byzantine churches, the location of St. Naum was chosen primarily because of its environment and surroundings – high cliffs offer unique view of the deep blue Ohrid Lake. Legend has it that in the church St. Naum if you lay your head on the grave of this Macedonian Saint, you can hear his heartbeat.

You will have the privilege to taste the world famous Ohrid Trout prepared on a traditional manner for lunch served beside the life-giving sources of the Crn Drim River. Even the end of this beautiful day has something to add to this unforgettable experience. The trip back to Bitola leads us thru National Park Galicica – mountain raised between two natural lakes Ohrid Lake and Prespa Lake. Alluring with beautiful wild thyme smell and unforgettable view, the Park is perfect for all nature enthusiasts.

Another truly specific taste follows in the dinner menu prepared by your own hands with the professional assistance of a chef – specialty of dried red peppers, garlic and homegrown potato, a traditional recipe from our kitchen, a delight even for the greatest gourmets. Accompanied with a glass of homemade brandy and the cozy atmosphere of Vila Dihovo, a relaxation and good rest is guaranteed.


Your adventure thru alluring Macedonia goes to one of the most picturesque regions of Macedonia – Prespa region and the beautiful Prespa Lake. This second largest natural lake in Macedonia is nestled between two national parks, Pelister and Galicica, and is a natural rarity one must experience.

In Prespa’s beautiful village Ljubojno, you will discover the traditional preparation of one of the most original specialties of this region – Gljomleze.

Gjomleze is a soft pie with crispy cover composed of thin pastry layers. This traditional delight is still prepared on the same way as in the past – with a traditional cooking tool called “Sach”. The preparation process is long, but we assure you when you taste the first bite, you will agree that it was totally worth it. This kind of delight must be served in a proper surrounding, so you will enjoy your Gjomleze during a picnic on Prespa Lake on the island of snakes known as “Golem grad”, located in the middle of Prespa Lake.

Local fishermen will take you to the island with their boats and your guide will satisfy your curiosity for all information regarding the largest Macedonian island, its archeology and unique biodiversity. Here you will see the excavations of a Hellenic House dating from 2 century BC and early Christian Basilica as well as a rare view of the largest flock of cormorants and pelicans in Macedonia.

You will witness and enjoy the untouched Prespa nature while easy hiking on Prespa shore near Stenje village. Following the beauties of the entire day, dinner will be also a delight. Local restaurants will serve you freshly caught Prespa carp with a supplement of tasty fresh ingredients salads.

This day comes to its finish in Vila Dihovo. A homemade excellent brandy a.k.a “Chatty” will spice up your dinner. Charmed by this magic drink produced of homegrown grapevine, the hosts will prove hospitality and positive energy are the two characteristics that best describe Macedonian people.

  • *If weather conditions do not allow us to realize the visit to Pelisterski Oci, we offer you an alternative SUV tour thru Mariovo region. The extraordinary tour thru the ecologically cleanest parts of the Balkans includes visit of the famous film village Zovikj, a ride thru the largest canyon in Macedonia – the canyon of the Crna River, the historic Point 1050 and the bunkers from the World War I.


This day starts with delicious breakfast and departure to the western part of Macedonia – mountainous area rich in mountain fruits, Alpine relief and crystal clear rivers. In this region, you will have the opportunity to visit the popular Macedonian mountainous village Galicnik, the birthplace of Galicnik’s Wedding – the most famous representation of a Macedonian traditional wedding. Galicnik is the most familiar village from the Mijac’s region, which has active life for more than a millennium. It is the home of best Macedonian carvers and masons whose work is unsurpassed art and aesthetics.

In Galicnik you will have the chance to explore the nature and enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the Mijacs nature while horseback riding. The afternoon will be perfect moment to enjoy the most delicious local food and traditional Galichnik cheese with highest quality.

As the end of the day comes, departure for Skopje follows, where you will be accommodated in a hotel.


Skopje, the capitol of Republic of Macedonia for all its visitors offers unforgettable experiences, a mixture of the ancient and modern, urban and traditional.  Skopje`s touristic offer is diverse and rich but a mandatory must-see destinations are the medieval fortress Kale – location continuously inhabited from the neolith era until today, the Museum of the Macedonian revolutionary combat, the Milenium Cross on Vodno and the old Skopje Bazar – the center of trade exchange since 12 century.
